At first, I thought shades of white would be difficult to find considering it hasn’t started snowing here regularly (thank goodness!). But, when I started looking around, I decided that autumn white can come in many different forms. Take for example the dreamy Christmas lights of the Polar Express captured from high atop a ferris wheel while snuggled up next to one of my boys.

Likewise, the lights of the Polar Express reflecting off the pond are another wonderful autumn white. They signal that the holiday season is upon us. These shots were particularly challenging because I was determined to shoot in manual, and it was a VERY dark night. As you can see, the lights from the train and the rides were literally the only light around.

The place where we attended the Polar Express, called Edaville, had several carnival type rides, which I always seem to associate with fall festivals and carnivals. The boys particularly loved this ride and wanted to ride it over and over again.

Likewise, I had fun playing with my camera and trying to capture the motion of the rides and the evening.

While most of the trees have lost their last few leaves, I stumbled across these while walking around downtown Boston near the Old North Church.

This decorative area is in the North End of Boston, which is an Italian area full of yummy restaurants and bakeries. This was called All Saints’ Way and was decorated for Thanksgiving.
While this is technically more gray than white, I love this gazebo located in Larz Anderson Park. Just lovely!

I absolutely love your work you have an incredible natural “eye” – keep shooting, girlfriend! You bring good things to life….
Thanks so much Denise!
Deanna, these are so stinkin’ fabulous, I’m not going to even bother listing which ones are my favorites. lol Don’t you just love it when you stumble upon a beautiful flower when you least expect it? And by the way…the shot from the ferris wheel? It’s awesome. Mine wouldn’t have come out anywhere near as crisp as yours. I *need* a tripod when I shoot manually at night.
